Earlier this year, John was selected as one of nine emerging film composers to participate in BMI’s “Composing for the Screen 2010: A Film Scoring Mentorship Program,” held from September 16 through October 20 at the BMI offices in Manhattan, New York.

It is true that sound and music make up 50% of the finished film, and John's evocative score is a big part of the success of our film. Ever the artist, John is able to grasp the emotional core of a scene and translate it into an accompanying score that amplifies the effect. I had a great time banging heads creatively with John and I think the results speak for themselves in the score for "Reach For The Sky".
